A complete coaching business in one custom platform, 1-on-1 booking, a digital storefront, a members-only video library, client accounts, real-time chat, and an admin back office. Not a template with plugins bolted on. A bespoke system, built end to end.
The live site, desktop & mobile
The brief
Okeugo Fitness needed more than a marketing site: they needed the business to run on it. Take bookings and payment, sell digital products, deliver paid coaching content securely, give clients their own accounts, and let the coach manage all of it without touching code or juggling a stack of disconnected tools. The challenge was building that as one coherent, secure platform rather than stitching together half a dozen subscriptions.
What we built
Online booking with real scheduling
Clients pick a weekday and 30-minute slot, shown in their own timezone with the Central equivalent, and pay a booking fee through Stripe. Each confirmed booking auto-creates a Google Calendar event with a Meet link and emails both client and coach. Double-booking is prevented at the server, even across pending checkouts.
Ebook store with secure delivery
A full storefront the coach manages herself, products, pricing, SEO, covers. Buyers check out through Stripe and receive a one-time, expiring download link served through a token-gated endpoint, so files can’t be freely shared. New products flow into the store and the sitemap automatically.
Members-only video library
Coaching packages unlock a private, YouTube-style video library in each client’s portal. Videos are stored privately and streamed via short-lived signed URLs, so links expire and non-members never receive one. Access is bound to a real account, not just whatever email gets typed at checkout.
Client accounts & portal
A complete account system, bookings, intake history, coach notes, and a security center for two-factor auth. Built from scratch with bcrypt-hashed passwords, signed session cookies, optional TOTP 2FA, and brute-force rate limiting.
Coach ⇄ client chat
A shared messaging thread between coach and client, with image, PDF, and document attachments uploaded straight to cloud storage. Email notifications keep both sides in the loop without spamming during a live back-and-forth.
Admin back office
A private dashboard for the coach: bookings, the ebook manager, order lookup, client records and notes, video uploads, and invite-based admin access, all protected by real accounts with admin roles and their own 2FA.
Liability waiver at checkout
Coaching packages require a signed liability waiver before purchase, an agreement checkbox plus a typed legal-name signature. Enforced server-side so it can’t be bypassed, with every acceptance recorded permanently (name, version, timestamp) for a clean legal trail.
Premium dashboard experience
The portal and admin share one polished shell, a fixed sidebar, top bar, and elevated cards, with light and dark modes that persist and apply with no flash. Smooth fade transitions and link prefetching make navigation feel instant, and everything collapses cleanly to mobile.
Installable progressive web app
The whole site is an installable PWA, it can be added to a phone’s home screen and opens like a native app, with a service worker that keeps pages fresh online and shows a branded offline screen when the network drops. It’s the foundation for a future native iOS app sharing the same backend.
The hard part
The real work was security and trust. Paid coaching content had to be genuinely protected, so videos live in private storage and stream only through short-lived signed links tied to an active membership, never a shareable URL. Purchases bind to a verified account rather than a checkout email, so access can't leak.
Payments had to be airtight: every price is re-read on the server at checkout, downloads are one-time and expiring, and the booking flow blocks double-bookings even when two people are mid-checkout for the same slot. Accounts are protected with hashed passwords, signed sessions, optional two-factor auth, and brute-force rate limiting.
All of it runs on serverless infrastructure with a database, file storage, calendar, email, and payments wired into one system the coach controls from a single back office, no monthly stack of disconnected SaaS tools.
Coaching sign-ups also carry legal weight: clients sign a liability waiver at checkout, enforced on the server and recorded permanently with a version stamp. And the whole back-of-house, portal and admin, shares one refined dashboard with light and dark modes and instant, flash-free navigation, so the tools feel as considered as the public site.
